Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to CenturyDiary and related services provided by Dosusu ("we", "us", "the App", or "the Service"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights, title, and intellectual property rights in the App and Service remain with us or the applicable rights holders.

3. Restrictions

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the App.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where allowed by law.
• You may not interfere with the normal operation of the Service or bypass security measures.
• You may not use the Service in a way that infringes another person's rights, privacy, reputation, or intellectual property.
• You may not upload, share, or transmit illegal, harmful, malicious, or abusive content.

4. Accounts and User Content

CenturyDiary provides personal diary, emotion diary, social sharing, comments, and like features. You are responsible for the content you create or share. If you share content through social features, that content may be visible to other users.

You must only upload or share content that you own or are lawfully allowed to use. We may restrict, hide, remove, or limit access to content or accounts when needed for legal compliance, rights protection, abuse prevention, or service operation.

5. AI and Translation Features

The App may provide optional AI features such as AI comments, semantic search, and automatic translation. AI output is automatically generated and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. It should not be used as the sole basis for important decisions. You are responsible for the information you enter or share when using AI features.

6. Paid Features and Subscriptions

Some features may be provided through paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are handled under the policies and account settings of the app marketplace where you purchased or subscribed. We may use RevenueCat to verify subscription status and paid feature entitlements.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel them in your store account settings. Prices, features, and subscription terms may change after notice and will apply according to applicable law and store policies.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the CenturyDiary Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the processing described in that policy.

8. External Services

The Service may use external services such as Supabase, Google Gemini API, RevenueCat, app marketplace payment and distribution services, and Expo. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control interruptions, changes, or discontinuation of external services.

9. Service Changes and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, delivery methods, or parts of the Service. If you violate these Terms or create material risk to the Service, we may limit or terminate your account or access to the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and Service are provided, to the extent permitted by law, "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption arising from your use of the App or Service. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. App Marketplace Terms

If you downloaded or subscribed to the App through a particular app marketplace, these Terms are between you and us, not the marketplace operator. However, the marketplace operator and its affiliates may be third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent required by the applicable marketplace policies. The marketplace's own policies may also apply to payments, refunds, subscription renewals, distribution, and app use.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms due to service changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on the website. If you continue using the Service after changes, you are deemed to agree to the updated Terms.
